A “SWEET”VALENTINE’S DAY LUNCHEON!

Thanks to all the volunteers, cooks and attendees, our Valentine’s Day Luncheon fund raiser was special.  Approximately 75 people enjoyed the delicious soups, salads, and desserts on Valentine’s Day which resulted in a net profit of $488.00. This money will be split between Christian education programming and the Haiti Relief Fund.  The children were once again responsible for beautifully decorating Fellowship Hall, making several desserts, and washing oh so many dishes!  Our thanks go to: Kaytlyn Baldwin, Josh & Seth Bendy, Jason Bergstrand, Cade and Coral Dorsch, Andy and Danielle Scheel, Kasey Smith, Allison Zeithammer, and Zoe, Ian and Mia Zesinger.  Those who made such scrumptious salads included  Cyndee Bergstrand,  Cindy Bingaman, Chris Horning, Karen McKibbin, Susan Klota, Cheryl Nix, Jackie Scheel, Lisa Wassner, Lori Wiseman, and Barb Wolf.  Sharan Dale and Kathy Scheidt made wonderful soups for us to enjoy on such a chilly February day.  We also want to thank the families listed above who stayed to help with the clean up.  We very much value the dedicated support of our congregation who repeatedly participate in the events sponsored by and benefiting the children of the church.

OUR TALENTED YOUTH

Ian Zesinger was in the 37th Annual Spelling Bee of the South Bend Community School Corporation and placed 7th out of 40  5th - 8th graders.  Ian is only a fifth grader and the youngest contestant remaining at the end!

Congratulations also go to Jack Ballard for winning a speech contest recently as well!  Jack is a eighth grader at Stanley Clark School. We have some very talented kids!!!
